On the heels of Governor Cox’s declaration replacing Pride month with ‘Fidelity Month,’ my Democratic colleagues and I released the following statement:
Pride month is important to me and to so many people I love. It’s a celebration of love, diversity, inclusion, advocacy, and community. It empowers LGBTQ+ individuals to embrace authenticity, creates a safe space for expression, and unites allies in the ongoing fight for equality. In a time with so much conflict, division, and uncertainty, the world could use more Pride. I’m proud to stand with my democratic colleagues in recognizing and celebrating Pride.
On that note, my campaign has Pride signs! We only have a limited number, but they are looking for a good home. Let me know if you’d like one and we’ll bring it by. Happy Pride!!
