As we begin the 2026 General Session, Utah Senate Democrats are guided by a simple principle: our love for Utah and the people who call it home. This year’s priorities reflect our commitment to learn from the past, respond honestly to the challenges families are facing today, and protect the future we are building together.
Our work this session focuses on lowering costs for families, strengthening schools and childcare, improving access to healthcare and mental health services, protecting children, safeguarding our air and water, and defending the democratic institutions that ensure every Utahn has a voice. We are advancing solutions that prioritize dignity, fairness, accountability, and long-term stewardship, while standing against policies that undermine elections, weaken courts, or harm our communities.
